Not really. Have had no problems in any conditions with the shock position.

Would fit fine. I'm 6'1" as well and rode this same frame for 2 years.

I don't think they are Pimplite, just the Pimp hubs. I don't recall from when I bought them. I know I was going for more strength than weight.
